Wanted: Volunteers

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of retired racing greyhounds? Do you live in the greater Tucson area?

If you have answered yes, here are some ways for how you can be part of a dedicated group of people who strive to create happy endings for the greyhounds.

For Nurturers
Foster care – greyhounds fresh off the track have no house experience; they never saw a TV, tile, stairs, kids or other pets. Are you ready to watch a greyhound blossom from your one-to-one TLC as you ready him or her for a forever home. Greyhounds are quick learners.
Respite foster care – A few nights of foster care after spay/neuter or to give a downtime for a regular foster person
Transport – drivers are always needed to take a dog from the kennel to the vet for surgery, to meet and greet, etc.

For Active Go-Getters
Kennel turnouts – hands-on, exercise dogs, bathe and/or groom, boundless hugs & pets, kennel housekeeping. The kennel is located in Marana.

For Brainiacs
Grant writing and research
Write articles for the Blog
Produce videos
Admin for Facebook

For Outgoing Personalities
Outreach at meet & greet venues, meet the public and show off the dogs.
Speakers Bureau
Assist adoption coordination
Work at events: sell merchandise, collect tickets, etc.
Recruit sponsors for events

For Special Events – as needed
Santa photos, animal fair, art fairs, flash mobs, hand out flyers around town, dog wash and more.

Are your ready to help? Please submit a volunteer or foster application and someone will call you in a few days to discuss how you can help.
